Spring is HERE! Translation: bright, bold and fun colors are back and the best part is they can be worn by just about anyone! Whether it be a hot pink lipstick or bold blue eyes, or depending on your style, BOTH at the same time! Experiment, and give a vibrant color a try :)
Here’s a bold blue eye I did for my friend Nicole on a recent night out. She’s got porcelain skin and super dark hair so the blue just popped!
G-Structions (this is my new instruction lingo...stands for GLAM Instructions): I primed the lid with NYX Eyeshadow Base White to make the color more vibrant. I applied Mac White Frost to the browbone. I used Metallic Cream Shadow in Myth for the lid, then covered it & under the eye using the turquoise blue eyeshadow from the NYX I Dream of St Lucia pallet. For the crease I applied Sapphire Sparkle from CoverGirl. I lined the eye using a black pot liner (elf) on the top and a waterproof black pencil on the rim (Rimmel Exaggerate). Since the eye color was so intense, I kept the liner relatively thin. I applied a loose shimmer shadow from LA Colors (so inexpensive) to the lid & under eye as well to blend & add some sparkle. I finished off the look with CoverGirl Lash Blast Fusion mascara in Blackest Black. And of course I added powder to her brows for definition using my trusty GOSH eyebrow pallet.
Tip: When doing such a vibrant eye with so much color, consider applying your eye makeup before foundation to ensure you can wipe off any excess color that has fallen on your cheeks
