So I had a request for a video on brushes…so here IT IS!!!
Brushes are confusing. There are so many types and sizes. They range from dollar store prices to natural bristled brushes that cost $100+. So where do you start, right? Well this video explains what each brushes primary use is and what they should look and feel like.
Tips: If a brush feel rough on your hands, it’ll feel worse on your face. And the quality of the makeup applied to your face is a direct result of the quality of brushes being used. Brushes last a while, and they are used for every application, so they are worth an investment. Not necessarily a HUGE investment for the average makeup lover, but you should be able to get a kit with most of the brushes I’ve mentioned for about $30-50…after holiday’s brush sets can go on sale for like $15. Sephora.com has some excellent ones. Or you can so what I’ve done, and put together your set brush by brush.
And DON’T forget to keep them clean. Once a month with a mild soap and left out overnight to dry will keep them in great shape and keep the bacteria at bay.
